Serving audiences for nine years and counting, Weirdo Night has been called "an absolute dream" by Paul Reubens, "the best show in LA" by comedian Sarah Sherman (SNL), "the best apocalypse ever" by Kathleen Hanna, and "GAY CHURCH" by a bunch of loony regulars.
Offering a necessary respite from the outside world, Weirdo Night provides hope and laughter but also room for rage, weirdness, queer joy and freedom to just be.
Jibz Cameron is a writer, performer, visual artist and actor. She is most well known for her multi-media performance work as alter ego Dynasty Handbag, which has spanned over 20 years. Jibz is a 2022 Guggenheim fellow, a 2021 United States Artist Award recipient and a 2020 Creative Capital Grant awardee. Her film Weirdo Night, directed by Mariah Garnett is an official 2021 Sundance Film Festival selection. She released her fist comedy record, The Bored Identity, on Wacky Wacko records in November 2023. Her latest evening length performance Titanic Depression is currently touring. Since childhood, Jibz has maintained a practice of drawing and painting and is honored to be included in 2023’s MADE IN LA Biennial at The Hammer. Jibz is also an actor, even tho it’s embarrassing. She lirvs and lorvs in Lors Angeles but larffs in NYCrty.
